To be successful in the game of live online roulette, the important point is that you need to choose the right roulette system. There are lots of gambling systems to choose from for different roulette types. Roulette systems can be categorized into American roulette systems and European roulette systems. This article is about European wheel systems:
European Roulette Systems
- The Martingale System: This system is usually chosen among other roulette systems by a beginner in the game of roulette. The idea here is that, it is possible to win pretty easily and quickly, if one bets on one of the even chances (e.g. Red). One must continue to increase oneís bets after each lost bet, until he/she wins and gets back all the losses and some profits. In Martingale Roulette System, the bets are simply doubled on each loss so that the next winning bet recovers all your losses. This system is theoretically perfect, but it requires large bankroll and has very low returns. If one reaches the house limit or runs out of money, chances of recovery from losses gets murkier.
- Progression roulette systems: There are two kinds of progression roulette systems: positive and negative. In positive systems, the successive bets are increased after each loss, in the belief that ultimately there will be a win and all the losses will be recovered. In negative progression systems, on the other hand, the player should have already won a sufficient amount, which is used to further try to win. In these systems, the total amount to be bet is decided beforehand and the game is exited at the right time. .
- The D'Alembert roulette system: It is a quite well known progression roulette systems and was invented in mid-1700. This system is designed in such a way that gives the chance to recover all the losses and protect the winnings. In this system, successive bets are reduced on a win and increased on a loss. Reducing a bet amount after a loss ensures that is the next bet is a losing one, you donít suffer too much loss, and increasing the bet after losing ensures that you recover your money in the next winning bet. It is not always possible to win in this system, as there can be a series of losing bets, but it is a wonderful mathematical strategy to beat the odds.
Initially, the novice players tend to stick with these roulette systems, but as they get more experienced, they develop their own winning systems.
